How to Get to Vatican City from the U.S.
There are no nonstop flights to Vatican City, as it does not have its own airport. Major airlines, including Delta, United, American, and ITA Airways, offer service from U.S. cities to Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO), also known as Fiumicino Airport. From there, it’s about a 25-minute drive (depending on traffic) or train ride to Vatican City. Taxis, ride shares, and train connections from Fiumicino are readily available, making it easy for families to reach the heart of the city.
