When travelers cross the state lines into Virginia, one of the first things they’ll see is a sign that says, “Welcome to Virginia.” And under that? “Virginia is for lovers.”

The mountains across the state make the perfect hideaway for a secluded cabin that will re-ignite the passion in any relationship. And what better way to do that than by getting close in a hot tub?

My husband and I opt for a place with a hot tub on vacation whenever possible. Vacations are all about relaxation, and there is nothing quite like soaking in a hot tub. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to get close.

With these romantic cabin getaways with hot tubs in Virginia, couples are sure to make memories that prove why “Virginia is for lovers.”

Iris Inn & Cabins

The romantic cabins at Iris Inn are located near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Scenic Drive in Shenandoah Valley. They are nestled between the Blue Ridge and Allegheny Mountains. These luxury cabins have features like a screened-in porch and private hot tub, so couples don’t have to worry about prying eyes if things get hot. The floor-to-ceiling windows and large deck highlight mountain views, sunsets, and stars so close they could almost touch them. Plus, Iris Inn offers packages for anniversaries and other add-ons like a s’mores package for the fire pit, rose petals, bouquets, robes, and chocolate-covered strawberries.

While the cabins have a secluded feel, they are a short walk away from high-end dining and cocktails at the Iris Inn. There is also plenty to do in the area. Pick strawberries, blackberries, or blueberries at Troyer’s Farm, visit the CoArt Gallery or Waynesboro Heritage Museum, or enjoy Jazz Night at the Chateau Lobby Bar.

So, those looking for a romantic getaway with hot tubs in Virginia can take advantage of both the remote location and the muted social scene.

Keep in mind that cell phone service might be limited in the mountains. Limited technology can be great for romance, but be sure to plan accordingly!

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging

Love Ridge Mountain Lodging offers several cabins and vacation rentals, but we recommend the Spy Rock Cabin. Spy Rock Cabin has a king bed, six-person covered hot tub, outdoor grill, gas fireplace, and indoor kitchen with modern amenities. There’s also a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains from all sides of this cabin. Plus, if you can’t break away from the kids, this has a second bedroom with a queen bed perfect for a family vacation.

Take a 4.5-hour train ride at the Cass Scenic Railroad State Park to Bald Knob and take in the view from the third highest point in the state. When You Go

Getting to Romantic Cabins in Virginia from Los Angeles

It is more than 2,500 to Virginia from Los Angeles. There are several airports in Virginia, including Charlottesville, Washington, Norfolk, Roanoke, Staunton, Charleston, and Lynchburg. Nonstop flights take about five hours.

The airport travelers fly into really depends on which of these romantic cabin getaways they want to pursue. However, these cabins are on the opposite side of the state as Virginia Beach, so options like Lynchburg and Roanoke are likely closer than Norfolk or Charlottesville. Opting for the destination closest to the cabin is best. Just don’t forget to book a rental car – Ubers and cabs aren’t as readily available in the Virginia mountains as they are in big cities like LA.
