It’s time for a vacation, and we parents know that with kids, sometimes a family vacation can feel more like a busy trip than a relaxing holiday. The remedy? An all-inclusive Hilton Family Resort.
Why is a Hilton resort always a good idea? Because they make a vacation feel like a vacation. For everyone in the family. At these all-inclusive resorts the adults can hit up the full-service spa or the championship golf course. And the kids? They are having the best time of their lives in the kids club. It’s a win for everyone! Plus, Hilton Honors rewards members may have points for free nights burning a hole through their boardshorts or bikinis!
All of this and more is what makes Hilton resorts the equivalent of Walt Disney World for children (and the young at heart) – the fun and frolic, the sunny outdoor pools, the lively tennis courts, the spacious guest rooms, the bubbly hot tubs, the state-of-the-art fitness centers, and let’s not forget the ever-popular water parks.
So pack your swimming trunks, your tennis rackets, and your troubles away because we’re diving into a rundown of the best Hilton Hotels for families.

Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hawaii
First stop, the Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hawaii. Aloha, friends! Welcome to 62-acres of ocean-front island paradise. I’m sorry to say this, but this resort is a mic drop. It will be hard to top it.
Hold the phone because there is more. And by more, I mean a private salt-water lagoon with easy access to the Pacific Ocean and filled with adorable sea turtles who will glide right alongside you as you paddleboard or snorkel.
The spacious guest rooms, the hot tubs with a view, and the excellent fitness center with an incredibly diverse offering of exercise classes, along with the lagoon beach shack, which offers a variety of water sports, make this the perfect place to stay.
Is that a roaming ukulele, I hear? Or the pitter-patter of my fingers as they quickly search for the most affordable way to get to this Hilton Resort as quickly as possible.
Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Jamaica
Next up, we have the Hilton Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Jamaica. Two words: poolside concierges. Want a pina colada as you watch your children have the time of their life in the water park or in the two outdoor pools? Don’t get up. Stay where you are because this Hilton Resort has someone at your beck and call.
This place is like someone had a dream about a perfect family vacation, and then they built a dazzling hotel around it. With a sprawling water park that features my favorite kind of river- a lazy one, two outdoor pools, and slides for different age groups, this place is an aquatic paradise.
As for the guest rooms, they’re so comfortable you’ll be forgiven for thinking you’re on a cloud. Died and gone to heaven. All standard rooms come with a balcony or terrace with their own charming island views.
Non-motorized water sports and an area shuttle are included, along with drinks and meals at several restaurants.
Need more? Kids two and under stay free – best deal ever! Kids who are between the ages of 4-12 can hop over to the complimentary kids club where they might hunt for shells, play arcade games, or ride in a glass bottom boat. Want to get a date in? There is a babysitting service for that.
Hilton La Romana, Dominican Republic
In the Dominican Republic, the Hilton La Romana is a dream-come-true. Imagine waking up in your comfy king-sized bed in a 400+ square foot room, and drawing back the curtains to reveal floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Caribbean Sea. No white-noise machine is needed when the ocean waves do the job.
In this all-inclusive resort, one might decide to stroll down to the restaurant for a free breakfast or, for those of us who stay in bed well past breakfast, turn on the flat-screen TV for some morning cartoons to entertain the kids, while lingering in bed with a perfect breakfast provided by room service.
When you’re ready for adventure, check out kayaking, wind-surfing, or scuba-diving. (These water sports are all included. Spotting a neon-tetra fish in the wild is a lot more exciting than spotting one in Petsmart. (Don’t get one. You know you don’t want to clean that tank.)
Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa, Portugal
For those favoring a European backdrop, the Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa in Portugal is your perfect destination. The hotel offers exceptional family accommodations – a family room that has a private area with a king sized bed and interconnecting room with two twin beds.
The selling feature of this resort? Its labyrinth of a spa which features an indoor thermal pool, Turkish baths, saunas, an experience shower, and a zen garden. Sigh.
The kids will squeal with delight at Paradise Island Kids Club, and your teenagers will love the arcade hangout made with them in mind.
Finally, after a day of activities, which hopefully includes some wine-tasting or a visit to St. George’s Castle on the beach, what could be better than sinking into the blissful warmth of your very own hot tub?
This European retreat with lavish suites is truly an unforgettable place to make memories.

Hilton Anatole, Dallas, TX
Want to stay a bit closer to home? The Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, brings all the resort fun to the heart of the city. This resort boasts a water park smack dab in the middle of Dallas with multiple outdoor pools, lazy rivers, water slides, and splash areas. There are shady cabanas, and when you get thirsty from that Texas heat, you can saddle up to the bar right in the middle of the outdoor pool. This pool experience is a vacation in and of itself. After a day of sunshine and splashing, the guest rooms are so comfy, it’s almost criminal. Someone should lock up Mr. Hilton for creating such a slice of heaven, because eventually the family will have to leave, but no one will really want to.

Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
Oh Disney World! Us parents, we love, and we hate you. But honestly, Disney feels so much more manageable and “vacationy” when you get to go home to a Hilton resort at the end of the day. After a day full of waiting in long lines, where you have more time than you should to calculate just how much money you are spending to wait in lines with your complaining children who are hot, bored, tired, hungry, and who will probably need to pee as soon as you start to make some real progress in that line, you will definitely want some adult-styled relaxation. There’s only one rule on a family vacation at the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel: relax, relax, and relax. Between the transportation to the parks, early-entry access, and kids 12 and under eating for free, this resort just can’t be beat. With floor-to-ceiling windows and glass-plated balconies, this place has more glass than Cinderella’s slipper stash! They’ve got an indoor pool, so the rain doesn’t ruin your fun, and an outdoor pool, for the sunny Florida days. This is one of the best Hilton resorts in Orlando, which, in a town overflowing with resorts, really just means it is one of the very best resorts.
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Oak Resort Hilton Head, South Carolina
Let’s head on up to South Carolina, the Hilton Grand Vacations Club Ocean Oak Resort Hilton Head has redefined luxury. With nearly every lavish suite and guest room boasting an ocean view, you’ll feel like royalty. Spend your day between the warm sandy beach and the free breakfast buffet (no judgments, we’re all friends here, and you should definitely get seconds), and, if the mood strikes, catch up with your favorite Netflix series on your flat-screen TV. Again, no judgment here, Netflix is so much better on vacation.
With the free parking, it would be a shame not to venture out of the resort, although I acknowledge this might be challenging. To visit Hilton Head without a short trip to the Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge would be a shame.
Waldorf Astoria, New York
This is where it all began in 1931- the standard of a luxury vacation resort in the United States was born. The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York was also the very first Waldorf Astoria. Now there are 32 world-wide. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the hotel is in the process of being renovated. One billion dollars is being spent to turn this historical gem in the heart of the city into even more of a palace than it already is. The website says that they are taking reservations starting on Sep 1, 2023, however, it looks to be sold out until June, 2024.
