Family vacations can get expensive. From traveling to the destination then exploring the area to the cost of the hotel, food, and unexpected extras like WiFi access and parking, it’s easy to go over your family’s vacation budget.

Fortunately, there are all-inclusive resorts where the price you pay upfront is what you can expect to pay as your final price. These resorts are made just for families with features like pools and waterparks, a smorgasbord of activities, and kid’s clubs so mom and dad can sneak away.

Some (like those on our list) even let kids stay free! Just keep in mind that you’ll usually get one free kid per parent. So, only one kid is allowed a free stay for single parents, and there may be extra costs for bigger families.

Now, let’s dive into our favorite all-inclusive resorts – kids stay free – so you can start planning a family vacation that will be memorable for the whole family without all those extra costs.

Moon Palace Cancun

Moon Palace is located about 25 minutes outside of the busiest hotel hub in Cancun, but guests will feel like they are worlds away from that chaos. Being all-inclusive, there is plenty to keep kids (and adults) busy. Explore the many water slides, lazy river, or FlowRider wave simulator in the waterpark and participate in daily activities around the resort.

Moon Palace also has a program called Palace Discoverie, where guests can sign up for experiences like guided tours around Cancun, snorkeling, yacht dinners, fishing trips, and more. Kids ages 4-12 can enjoy supervised fun at the Playroom Kids Club (complete with features like video games, a kid-sized store, playrooms, and an arcade!) while mom and dad break away for an excursion, too!

As part of the “kid’s stay & eat free” promotion, one child under 12 can eat and stay free at Mohonk Mountain House per paying adult. However, this promotion is only available on certain dates, so check the website before you go. Things included as part of the “all-inclusive package” are a plethora of daily activities, meals, and in-room dining, access to the outdoor pool and wellness classes, valet parking, and gratuities.

Club Med Punta Cana

While we picked Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic as the destination, Club Med has locations all over the globe. For a tropical setting, consider Club Med Cancun, Yucatan, or the Caribbean. Explore culture in Africa, Asia, or Europe, or visit Club Med Tignes, Quebec, or the Alps for some snowy fun.

No matter the resort families choose, their day will be packed with area-appropriate activities. The Punta Cana resort also offers excursions like whale watching during the winter months and sailboat snorkeling tours, but these come at an extra cost.

Another benefit of Club Med locations is the variety of kids clubs like Petit Club Med and Junior Club Med, each offering unique, age-appropriate activities for younger guests. Kids can stay safe and entertained while mom enjoys relaxing spa treatments or dad goes putting on the oceanfront PGA.

Woodloch Resort Pennsylvania

This is another all-inclusive resort where kids stay free located in the continental United States.
