There’s a reason Orlando is known as the water park capital of the world, and Orlando World Center Marriott holds its own with River Falls Waterpark.

Tidal Cove, the on-site waterpark, has seven waterslides and the country’s first-ever FlowRider Triple surf simulator. My youngest tried it and immediately declared he was ready for the Olympics. There’s also a 4,000-square-foot kids’ pool and private cabanas for grown-ups who are done pretending to be excited about water cannons.
Rooms at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa are spacious and bright, with private balconies overlooking palm trees, golf courses, pools, or the ocean. Floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms, and custom furnishings add comfort, and every stay includes admission to Tidal Cove Waterpark based on room occupancy.

AquaRidge WaterPark is the kind of desert oasis that makes you forget it’s 100 degrees out. With multiple water slides, a lazy river, and an adults-only island, it’s a win for everyone. One of my kids declared it the “best pool ever” and he’s seen a lot of pools. The poolside service here is stellar, and the cabanas are a solid investment if your family treats pool time like it’s their job.
The newly updated rooms at JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge offer a peaceful break with views of the mountains, golf course, or resort grounds. While not branded as a full water park, The Westin Kierland’s Adventure Water Park gets pretty close. There’s a lazy river, a 110-foot water slide, and a kids’ splash pad that’s perfect for cooling off in the Arizona sun. And if your crew is older, the FlowRider wave simulator is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser! My boys took turns trying to stay upright while I took video evidence for future graduation parties.
The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in North Scottsdale is a desert retreat just steps from shopping and dining at Kierland Commons. Families can explore nearby spots like OdySea Aquarium, the Musical Instrument Museum, and hiking trails at McDowell Mountain Park.
